Vehicle Details

The Ford Mustang Boss 302 needs no introduction as being one of today’s highest sought-after collector cars. It was developed for both speed and beauty to compete against the Z-28 in the Trans Am Racing Series. The venture was extremely successful with a production number of 7,013 in 1970.

In this day and age, you would be hard-pressed to find a 1970 vehicle with 21K original miles. It would be near impossible to find a 21K mile, number-matching, well-maintained 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 – until now. This 1 of 1 Boss 302, with rare dealer-installed cruise-control spent the first 30 years of its life in sunny California. It was purchased by a collector on the East Coast where it resided for the next 10 years and received flawless paint job of the rare, original, and stunning Bright Gold Metallic on thedashcams.

The all-original body surrounds the numbers-matching drivetrain. The engine compartment still has much of its original equipment, including carburetor, distributor, heads, etc. This sleek collectible handles and drives like it should with only 21K, well-maintained miles. Another interesting feature and option is the intermittent wipers. This was a rare option for all mustangs in 1970.

In addition to the exceptional condition of this Ford Mustang Boss 302, it has extremely good documentation. This includes the original build sheet and partial dealer invoice for the Bendix Speed Control system. Also it has the invoice, window sticker and Elite Marti report. It maintains original keys and factory tags; buck tag, door tag/sticker, vin stamping, etc.

Vehicle Details:

Ford’s Mustang GT could be had with a wide choice of engines in 1969. Unlike the new Mach 1, the GT package was still available in convertible form, allowing adventurous buyers to enjoy big-block performance with the wind in their hair. The formula is embodied in all its glory in this one-of-a-kind triple-Black GT, one of the rarest GT Mustangs in the world. Only 50 convertibles were built with the Q-code 428 Cobra Jet V-8, 20 of which were 4-speed cars. Of those 20, only 9 were GT-equipped; only 2 were finished in Raven Black, and only this car employed the rare Traction-Lok rear end, in this case with a 3.50 gear set.

That is one very special package, one made even better by a recent professional restoration that has the car in an as-new state, with nothing more than test miles since its completion, and it is spectacular. Gleaming Raven Black paint combines with chromed GT wheels, a GT competition-style gas cap, chromed quad exhaust outlets and a front spoiler for great visual impact, while inside the Black interior features a console, 8,000 RPM tach, woodgrain trim and an AM radio. In addition, the Black manual soft top is accompanied by a matching tonneau cover still packaged in the original container.

Entirely correct and immaculately finished, the matching numbers 428/335 HP Cobra Jet engine is coupled to a close ratio Toploader 4-speed and 3.50 Traction-Lok, and complemented by power steering and the GT’s strong competition suspension.

Complete with Marti report documentation, this unique collector Mustang GT convertible stands out as a valuable find for the collector.
